How God Made The Earth
By Kaylin Stinson

In the beginning,
There was no blue sky.
No plants, no people,
Nothing to buy!
Then God said His Word,
He said, “Let there be light!”
And out of nothing,
God made day and night!
Next God made heaven,
Of marvelous worth
And held back the water,
To form the dry earth.
God saw this
And said it was good.
Then followed with flowers,
As God only could.
Then God threw in seasons,
And just for fun,
God made a moon
And threw in a sun.
Then came Robins and a Finch
And a blue bird
Followed by peacocks
When God said the word.
Then God decided
To fill His seas:
Fishes and dolphins
And whales if you please.
“This isn’t bad,” said God
“But there is more.”
So God made camels,
Horses and Dogs,
Lions and Zebras
Even the frogs!
“I’m not done yet
There’s more to my plan.”
And with dust,
God made a man.
“I’ve saved her for last
And last is best.”
So God made a woman
And took a rest.
God is so great!
We know it is true!
God made the Earth
And all for you! |
