When Steve came through our church, he mentioned that it takes about $10,000 to win an adult to Christ with Church costs, media, expenses, etc. He mentioned it only takes about $50 to win a child.
That thought stuck with me, and I came up with the idea to adapt another ministry idea called "Club 52" for those not familiar with it, you have people in the church pledge to give $1 a week for a year for a department in the church. I took that idea and adapted it to outreach. I called it 1 For 1. You have people give $1 a week for a year and what we did was take our kids out on a visitation type program on Wednesday nights instead of class, and just hung out with visitors, their friends who had never visited, or whoever, and just loved on them and showed them that Christianity isn't just neck ties and rules. We had 6 teens come to know the Lord (and all kids who had never been there before). It was amazing and we never would have been able to do that without Bro. Steve.!
