God gave this idea to me recently as I was planning a sleepover for our 2nd graders. There has always been a problem with the little ones keeping up with their belongings at a sleepover.
I was constantly finding socks, pillows etc.that were left behind. It was especially hard for the children who come to church by bus. Trying to load all their stuff on the bus and keep up with it was near to impossible. God's idea? Buy a box of large trash bags. I used the ones that you would use for your outside can so as to accommodate a sleeping bag and blankets. Then buy a package of name tags that have adhesive on the back. As the sleepover comes to an end, have each child get their belongings and bring them to you, put them in a bag, write their name on the sticky name tag, attach to their trash bag and voila....you have all their belongings together with their name and with the garbage bag and as a bonus the children can drag the garbage bag when it becomes to heavy to carry. It worked out perfectly and I plan to do it again next sleepover as well.
