Print the scripture out in banner form. Hang the banner up on the wall for the children to continually see.
If you have younger children in smaller chairs, hang the banner at eye level. Also, every time your class is together go over the scripture as a group. As well, when a child memorizes the scripture and wants to say it individually for the class, have a special treat ready to give them. Another favorite is to give each child a "word". It is theirs for ownership. Go around the room and give each one a word of the scripture. That is the only word they say when you point at them as you go around the room to say the completed scripture. Sometimes it is fun to mix it up and if you have an abundance of children (good problem) have the children that don't have a word to listen as the other children say the words. Then take a word out and have the children decide which word is not in the scripture. You may also want to "challenge" another room to "out say" them with the scripture. We stumbled onto this last night as our class heard through the walls another class say their scripture. We of course had to say ours only "somewhat" louder. They in turn came to our room and accepted our challenge and said the scripture for us. The kids loved it and enjoyed saying the scripture "loudly". It was very cool.
The awesome part is the children have no idea yet, what having God's living Word tucked in their little hearts will mean to them as they grow and journey through life.
Loving little ones for Him,
