This is an excellent year long activity! Choose a group within your church that you feel needs some extra love and encouragement.
We have done this with our senior adults, church staff and deacons, and children’s ministry. Each month choose a particular individual, couple, or class within your chosen group, and have your class make and deliver homemade goodies (cookies, brownies, etc.) to them. At the end of the year, you can have a banquet of sorts and invite all the recipients to a Sunday after church lunch that your class prepared just for them. This is a wonderful way to teach your class to be servants and reach out to others, as well as a way of showing your church members that they are loved and appreciated.
