Thanks for your interest in this physics demonstration. I found this on the net while searching for neat science related demonstrations that could be adapted for an object lesson. This demonstration can be done with any can but I only tried it with an aluminum drink can. The can must have a small opening, I don't think it would work with an open can. To get the can to crush add about 3/4 inch of water to the can. Bring the water in the can to a brisk boil. Allow the water to boil for a few seconds, this allows the can to be filled with steam. Quickly invert the can and submerge the opening in water (ice water is preferable). The steam in the can immediately condenses creating a relative vacuum inside the can. The air pressure on the outside of the can causes it to crush. This phenomenon can literally crush a railroad tanker. This becomes a great object lesson to illustrate how we must keep a balanced life. Be wise of all that Satan does or about the Armor of God, otherwise Satan can crush our lives.
